USES OF SALT (SODIUM CHLORIDE- as NaCl)

There are many uses of salt or sodium chloride as (NACL). Apart from making food delicious or adding taste to our foods in the kitchen at our various homes, and the most common method of salt application or uses over 2000 years ago before the advent of chemical, cleaners and other industrial purpose. It is believed that there are more uses of the natural mineral substance which is of great importance to human as well as animals as a whole.

SALT FOR AGRICULTURE


Salt is used in agriculture sector or agriculture industry. Silage production in the agriculture sector is forage preservation technique that requires spontaneous lactic acid fermentation under anaerobic condition which is used to feed cattle, sheep, goat donkey and other ruminant animals. The fermentation and storage process is called ensilage, ensiling or silaging, which helps to limits bacterial growth and preserve its nutritional properties.

The major raw material for chlorine production or process is industrial salt (sodium chloride) and this chemical called chlorine is a primary component of disinfection and hygiene product.
